One of the best guys I’ve ever met! To me he was like a son. He was always a happy go lucky type person. Always smiling, always helping someone. That’s how I’ll always will remember him. Rest In Peace my friend.

Michelle was our Nanny when her and Derek got engaged. You could tell by the smile on her face and her constant stories about how wonderful he was that they truly had one of the greatest love stories ever told. Michelle, we love you and are keeping close in our hearts and prayers.

Derek was a good man, a special daddy, and all around a good person. I always enjoyed working with him. The construction world definitely lost a good man. My prayers to his family for comfort in this time. There’s no real words to describe this void In situations like this. To his immediate family, Derek left a high bar to hit for men, I pray those babies follow in the footsteps of a this good man and continue the legacy .

Dereck was a lot like his dad in many ways, always had that beautiful smile and easy going manner, he will be missed by his loved ones more than words could express.

Karla & Kara, I am so sorry for your loss. I have been thinking of you both since I heard about Derek. I still remember him as a little boy. Kara, I know how hard it is to lose a brother. You and the entire family are in my prayers now and in the weeks to come.
