Wilma Jean Cole

Wilma Jean Cole, 72, of Springdale, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019.  She was born June 21, 1947 in Marble, Arkansas to Daniel and Lois (King) Watson.  The most important thing in life to Wilma was her love for Jesus.  She taught Bible classes and was a longtime member of Elmdale Baptist Church but in recent years attended Springdale Missionary Baptist Church.  Wilma enjoyed creating a variety of crafts.  She also volunteered teaching English as a second language to the Hispanic community.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Hercial Ray Cole in 2006, and by a grandson, Noble Ray Cole.  She is survived by three children, Marla Sartain and husband Jeremy of Water Valley, Mississippi, Amanda Rogers and husband Cory of Fayetteville, Adam Cole and wife Kara of Prairie Grove; one brother, David Watson and wife Donna of Springdale; and five grandchildren, Taylor Eggleston, Rylee Rogers, Cole Rogers, Nora Cole and Frankie Cole.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Springdale Missionary Baptist Church.  Visitation will be from 5:30-6:30 Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church 2844 McRay Avenue, Springdale, AR 72762.

I am so sorry for your loss. Wilma was a sweet lady who loved the Lord and who shared her knowledge of the Bible. I will miss her teaching at Sip of Tea meetings.

I’m sorry to hear about another one of my family departing from this life.
I myself get a little curious to find out what’s on the other side.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those that are remaining behind.

She taught me ‘Mary had a little lamb’ on the piano as a child, when I stayed over with Marla. Great lady and will be missed.
