We are praying for Sharon and family of a good man. We enjoyed his happy and kind spirit. He will be missed but not forgotten. Praising God that he didn’t let him suffer long and called him home. Heaven must be a place right now with him there.

My Uncle Larry was my favorite person in the world. Visiting Aunt Sharon, Uncle Larry, Marcie and Mark as I was growing up was one thing I looked forward to the most…and hunting with Uncle Larry…and tearing all his plants and flowers up with my BB gun once. My heart has been and always will be with you all. Despite this loss hurting so much, I know Uncle Larry is finally at peace with our Lord. I love you Uncle Larry and I will miss you very much. To Aunt Sharon, Mark, Marcie and the kids, I am very sorry… Read more »

Sharron, my thoughts and prayers are with you and family at this time. Alzheimers is a cruel and unforgiving disease and is harder on the family caregivers than the patient. Rest assured he is in a better place and will be remembered for the great times before the illness.

Sharon and family: We are saddened for your loss of this great man, but rejoice that we know where he is and that we will see him again. We can only imagine Larry’s face when he saw his Lord and Savior. A very kind and gracious man who loved his Lord, his family and his friends. Our love and prayers.

I am a nurse at the Veterans Home in Fayetteville where he resided, and I truly enjoyed caring for Mr. Uptegraft this past year. He was a kind man with an infectious smile. He will be missed by the staff here.

You were definitely one of a kind. All of the great times we had together – hunting, fishing, dining out plus shopping . We have never enjoyed being around a person any greater than you. You were always closer to me than an in-law. We will always cherish our time together. You may be gone but you WILL never be forgotten.

Love always Drew and Linda

Larry was a nice gentleman and I enjoyed taking care of him. I am so sorry for your loss Sharon. Larry did always remember you. He reconized your photos in his room, and after the virus started I would ask if he wanted to talk with you on the phone and he always said yes.
