Kathleen Jean Morgan

Kathleen Jean Morgan, 62, of Tontitown passed away Tuesday July 21, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 6, 1957 in London, England the daughter of John and Gloria Miller Pyne.

Nothing prepares you for the loss of a spouse, mother, or grandparent. But I can truly say Kathy definitely tried her best. She ensured she kept our family extremely close, no matter what life threw at us. Kathy helped me become an amazing, kind and loving father/husband. She taught Kelly, Kevin, and Kayla what unconditional love is, and not to accept anything less. Kathy wanted everyone to know what it’s like to have a family and be loved. There are so many small things we can look back on and realize she was preparing us in her own way. Kathy is a truly amazing woman who
impacted so many lives, even if she only met them once. She never met a stranger. Kathy was loved for her feisty British spirit. You knew exactly how she felt about you the moment you met her. Kathy had such a huge giving heart and would open the door to anyone in need. There was never a dull day with her around, and you couldn’t stay mad at her for too long. We liked to call her the queen of England because to us that’s what she was. Head always held up high. Not taking anything from anyone. If something wasn’t correct she would be the one to fix it or she would be the one to find someone to fix it her way. Kathy was the most loving lovable person you would ever meet. Kathy, I don’t think you’ll ever understand the huge role you have played, not only on our lives but
so many others. We will never be able to thank you enough. There will be a huge hole in our hearts, but we will push thru and continue to make you proud. We love you and miss you dearly.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her Father and two sisters. She is survived by her husband James of the home; one son Kevin Morgan; one Daughter Kelly Henderson; one granddaughter Kayla Henderson all of Tontitown; her mother Gloria Pyne of Oxford, England; one brother Robert Pyne of Germany; one sister Denise Bayliss of England.

Family will receive friends Saturday July 25, 10:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home.

I’m so happy I got to meet auntie Kathleen. I enjoyed our phone calls even though she liked to ring when I was at work. Loved the time we spent with her while she was over for nanny Margaret’s wedding, the BBQ’s and shopping days! She definitely was a women with character and I loved that in every way. May now you rest in peace, your now reunited with you two sisters and I’m so sure you will all keep each other company. My thoughts are with your husband, children and grandaughter at this sad time. My thoughts are also… Read more »

Hi aunty Kathleen, I hope you are with my mum and Jennifer? I bet you are watching down on us and having a laugh and pointing out our faults. My mum ( Margaret) will be tapping her her foot at a 100mph giving anyone the look. Jennifer would be looking at you through her big glasses, shaking her head. Aunty Kathleen wouldn’t even need to open her mouth, her look said it all. My auntie took care of us alot when we were young, I have happy memories being with Keith, Kathy, Kevin and Kelly. When my mum died (… Read more »

I loved sitting with her and just talking about anything. One thing that showed while visiting with her was her love for her family. She was so proud and full of love for them. Hugs and love to all of you❤️

Auntie Kathleen, I’m not sure words can ever say what impact you had on my life, from wanting to be with you every weekend so me and Ellaine could wear your make up, dress up in your silk blouses in the 80’s, to feeding Kevin a tub of grape Kool Aid… and we know how that ended!!! From camping in the rain and Keith under the brolly making sure the BBQ was going well, taking Kelly camping in Cornwall falling in the bushes because we had one too many Bacardi Breezers and getting told off by the security guard for… Read more »

I’m so glad I got to have Kathy in my life for a number of years. She was there for many of my first serious relationship experiences. She had very strong opinions and cared deeply for Kevin and Kelly. I will never forget my first wine cooler with her too. We have memories I will never forget.

Kathy was amazing. She brought me in as part of the family being one of Kevin’s best friends. I am grateful I was able to meet her. I believe that she will be looking down on us all with that sassy attitude that I loved. I’m sorry for the loss of this wonderful wife and mother to the family. ❤️💙💜💖

Ok… I hope this doesn’t get me in trouble… I had the pleasure of knowing Kathy as Kevin’s Mum. My favorite story, which I have recounted many times over the years, was when Kevin and I were a couple. Kathy called my cell and left a message for Kevin… “Dany…this is Kevin’s Mum… Tell Kevin I put his money in the knickers drawer…” I was taken back by the message, and it was only after Kevin listened to it and translated for me, did I realize she did not say she had put his money in a black guys underwear….

I remember many nights and days staying at Kevin’s house. One of my favorite things was to sit in the living room and talk to Kathleen. She was always so welcoming and made me feel like I had spot in her home. Even when I visited in Arkansas, she was always happy to see me . I absolutely loved her. I wish I would have gotten to go gambling with her Atleast once , I know we would have had so much fun!!! I’m glad she is no longer in pain and with the angels. She will forever be missed… Read more »

To my dear auntie Kathleen, It’s not easy to find the right words or to know what to say. It’s all happened so quickly and I’m not sure I can truly comprehend it or if I want to. I have such lovely memories of you and the family, from when I was little to more recently. I loved decorating cakes with you and doing cross stitches. We had a great time at the Casino, getting our nails done and shopping in America. We had a laugh going to Harry Potter World in the uk. You were thoughtful and kind, I… Read more »

When I first met Kathy, I had put on that I was 21 when I was really 17. It didn’t take her even 10 minutes before she tricked me into giving away the goat. I never lived it down. To say that Kathy liked me would probably be a mischaracterization, but she tolerated me, which was still way more than she had to. As for me, I was scared to death of her. She spoke her mind and never backed down from a fight. If you asked for her opinion, she’d give it to you straight. No fluff, no sugar… Read more »

I met Kathy through Kayla’s Girl Scout Troop. Watching them together you could see how much she loved Kayla and wanted the world for her. It’s not like I knew her well but with some people that doesn’t matter. She was so friendly, warm, honest, and funny that meeting her just once insured that you wanted to talk to her every time you saw her. My kids and husband also loved her sense of humor (and accent). My husband always called her “the hilarious English grandma”. Because years later we STILL occasionally mention funny stories she told us (for example… Read more »

My Dearest Family To my dearest family, some things I’d like to say, But first of all to let you know that I arrived okay. I’m writing this from Heaven, where I dwell with God above, Where there are no tears or sadness, there is just eternal Love. Please do not be unhappy, just because I’m out of sight, Remember that I’m with you, every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you, when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me, and said, ‘ I welcome you’. ‘It’s good to have… Read more »

I love to read how much Kathy impacted so many lives. She was a force to be reckoned with. Like most have said, you knew where you stood with her. She did not hold back. We got along almost from the moment we met almost 40 years ago. We teased each other about how we pronounced words differently. And it was amazing how she could get the truth out of people and make it look so easy. She would tell my daughter Sarah to come sit on the “Bed of Truth” and within minutes have her confessing. I will miss… Read more »
