Raymond & I became acquainted with Jim many years ago at the donut shop. Our “gang” would meet most every Saturday morning for coffee & perhaps a donut or two. We would share stories about our week, talk about sports, our families, and many other topics. Shared a lot of laughs together along with bearing a burden or two. This remained a routine for “our crew” up until the last few months. Jim you were a light among us & a true gentleman. Thank you for the joy you brought to so many. I love you my dear brother &… Read more »

We got to know Mr. Jim at the Daylight Donut Shop on Sunset. He was a true gentleman and always a joy to be around. We had missed getting to see him. Thank you to his sons and family for sharing him with all of us. Love to all of you. Dale and Melba Shillings

Never have I met a nicer man than Jim. Known within our Poker Players as “Diamond Jim”, as he could bluff you out of a hand or take you down with a big hand! We all loved him so much. My kids and I, years ago, would camp with him and other friends, play cards, tell stories, cook and never have a dull moment when he was around. We love you Jim and you’ll truly be missed by all.

My favorite memory of Jim was during our Christmas gift exchanges when I was a young girl. He’d wrap gifts with clues in multipke boxes to where you’d have to hunt for the final gift – most of the time the wrapping paper was newspaper. He will always hold a special place in my heart. We spent many years as neighbors, friends and camping buddies.
