Gilbert Leon “Gil” Rowe

Gilbert Leon “Gil” Rowe, November 5, 1944 – February 15, 2019, a former Lamar resident passed in is home from cancer.  Gil was well known in the community as a small business owner of Green Valley Landscape and the Lamar Flea Market.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at a later date in Lamar, Colorado.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Cancer Resources.

My dad was one of the most selfless people. Always helping others above himself. I have never taken for granted my dad has always taking the time to give us the tools to last us a lifetime. My dad let us sit on his lap and drive down the country road when we got old enough he let us drive by ourselves. Friendly, kind and handy is how I remember uncle Gilbert. Grandma Bonny’s kitchen cabinets are fondly fixed in my mind and I am grateful he was able to build them. Our condolences and prayers are with you and your family.
