Where to begin, our memories as we grow older adapt and somewhat change to how we choose to remember things. So here goes, my Aunt Gennie was particular as to the way she liked things especially the house and what was in it. As a little kid only spending a few weeks a year visiting, having Ellen and Diann the same age meant I spent lots of time at Uncle Bill and Aunt Gennie’s. I probably tried her patience many times but I certainly learned to live by her rules when there. So much so that they stayed with me… Read more »

Bill, Diann, Ellen, as well as the rest of the family, I am so sorry for your loss and saddened that sweet cousin Genevieve has gone from this world. I will always think of her with love and affection. As a faithful Christian woman, she is undoubtedly in the glorifying presence of the Lord right now and having a wonderful family reunion with those who have gone before her. Even though she is in a better place, her absence is difficult on those she leaves behind. May God provide strength and comfort during this heart-breaking time. Sympathy, prayers, and love… Read more »

Many years ago I started traveling to Arkansas to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with family. That first Thanksgiving I stayed with Aunt Gennie and Uncle BilI. It would be the first of many wonderful Thanksgiving holidays spent with family, that I shall always recollect and cherish. Many wonderful holiday traditions and memories began that Thanksgiving. Just as Aunt Gennie and my mom corresponded down through the years in letters and cards. Aunt Gennie and I started up that correspondence just as my mom and her had done many years before. Will miss you Aunt Gennie and your cards and letters.… Read more »

I will always think of Aunt Gennie’s kind and gentle ways when I think of her. Always happy to see you, loved her family, and served others. I always loved her smile and her quiet laugh. I enjoyed learning about flowers and planting from her- she and Uncle Bill always had a nice yard. They would share stories about our family from years back. There are so many fond memories at their house. When you left, they would say, come back and see us- they have a way of making others feel welcome and comfortable. And married for 69 years-… Read more »
