Grant & Kimberlee Siemens

Grant Siemens began his career in 1988 working part-time at the local funeral home in his hometown of Durango, Colorado. He had entered college never intending to make this his life’s work but soon grew to admire the diligent care given to the community by the owner and staff he worked with. This led him to the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service where he earned his degree in Mortuary Science and Art. Grant returned to Durango and married his high school sweetheart, Kimberlee, and spent 12 more years serving his community.

In 2002, together with their four children, he moved to Springdale, and continued his career with a local firm before making the decision to open his own business. In January of 2006, and after four months of renovations and improvements to the location on 48th Street, Heritage Funeral Home received its license from the state. That same month they were entrusted to serve the needs of their first of now hundreds of client families.

Grant and Kimberlee take their responsibility to each family they serve very personally, as if it were their own family. They feel completely honored and humbled when a family chooses to place their trust and loved one’s care with them. “After 30 years I am still as passionate, perhaps even more than ever, about serving my community in the most difficult times of their lives. Maybe it because of the wonderful relationships we have established with so many folks, or maybe because as I get older I appreciate even more the precious bond of human love and life. I’m sure it is the combination of both.”

Logan Smith

Logan Smith is an Associate Funeral Director at Heritage Funeral Home. He has been good friends with Grant and Kimberlee for several years and accepted a position at Heritage in 2017. “I did not seek out the position but after a short time on the job I quickly learned that the sacred and honorable duty of caring for families at such an adverse time is worthy of my complete dedication.” He is currently working toward certification in mortuary science and funeral directing.

Logan has worked with children for many years both as a preschool teacher at The Kid’s Studio and a coordinator at the YMCA. Logan has been a film fanatic since childhood and enjoys dabbling in amateur video production. He is a proud native of NWA and enjoys being outdoors hiking, skateboarding, and biking.
